I want to start my own business, but I signed a non-disclosure agreement w/ my current employer?

Can I use public knowledge to start a business in the same field as my current employer. I’m not interested in their customers or formulations etc., but I will be a competitor from day one. Is the non-disclosure agreement binding me from starting out on my own???

Non disclosure means you can talk about thier business I don;’t think it binds you from going into the same business. although I would have to see the exact wording. consult an attorney to make sure.
